Dialog Studio's robust, multi-language feature allows you to translate training phrases, slot values, journey steps, and bot messaging into a multitude of languages and regional dialects, enabling your bots to converse with users from all over the globe.
Managing all languages and translations for your workspace can be done effortlessly through Translations. Download and upload translations to work on them offline, or use Dialog Studio's powerful auto-translation feature.
Need more context? See Supported languages
The Languages tab is where you create and maintain the list of supported languages for your entire workspace, including bot messages, slot values, journey steps, and intent training phrases.
To add a language to the list, click + Add new language
Select the desired language from the list
Repeat until you have created the list of languages to be supported for your workspace
Click Save
To update the list of workspace languages for all existing resources in your workspace, click Apply languages. The list will be updated in the Language tabs for translatable resources.
When creating new resources (a new bot, new slot, or a new intent), the list of workspace languages you created through the Translations menu appears in the Languages tabs for those resources. You may remove a supported language and add a new supported language at the resource level.
To remove a language from the workspace language list, click the remove icon.
You may download all translatable content to a .csv file for working offline:
Select the resources (Intents, Slots, Flows, or Journeys) to include in the downloaded file
Specify one or more languages for the download by clicking + Add new language or clicking the remove icon next to an existing language
Click Prepare download
When the file is ready, click Download
Optional
Enter one or more tags to only include resources with those tag(s) in the download
Enable Exclude retrained toggle to remove phrases that have been trained through the History menu in the download
By clicking on the Upload tab, you can upload a .csv file that contains translated content:
Select Drop file here or Click to select for choosing a file from your computer
When ready, click Upload
Proceed to the All uploads tab of Translations page to apply your uploaded values
All uploads lists all uploaded files that have been added and provides the Status along with the time the file was Uploaded.
Apply an upload by clicking the Apply link, or delete it from the list by clicking the remove icon.
While you may manage auto-translations within each intent, slot, flow, or journey separately, this tab enables you to auto-translate for multiple aspects of your bot in a single request.
For each auto-translation job, the following attributes are shown:
Status: Whether the job is completed or in progress
Languages: The language of the translation job
Succeeded: Number of resources that succeeded in being translated over the number of resources checked in total
Created: When the job was created
Begin by clicking the Request auto-translation button:
Selection: Toggle between specifying exact resources or filter by bot and channel types
Resources: Select from all or specific intents, slots, flows, or journeys
Bot: Choose a bot if you would like to filter translating for a specific bot. Otherwise, translations will occur for all bots in the workspace
Tags: Enter tags to have them automatically added to your translations after the job is complete
Channel type: Select a channel if you would like to translate for a specific channel. Otherwise, translations for all channel types are performed
Languages: Add languages for which you want to perform translation. You can add multiple languages

Mark as translated: Enable to mark all translations as translated once the job is completed
When ready, click Request translation
Unless indicated by the Exclude translations already marked toggle, this job overrides any translations you have entered previously for the chosen resource types.
