Slots: Languages

Manage translations of slot values and synonyms in NLX's Dialog Studio

What's the Languages tab?

Languages manages the translations of all values and synonyms belonging to a slot.

Ensure custom slots used in intent flows have been translated to match the language(s) your bot ultimately needs to support.

Access

To access this feature, click the Languages tab of your slot:

Adding languages

• Select Languages tab of your slot

• Click + Add new language > Choose language(s) from dropdown

• To remove a language from the list, click the remove icon beside it

• Click Save

Managing translations

When new languages are added at the workspace level via Translations, they may be applied globally to your resources in Dialog Studio. However, you may add/remove languages at the slot level to override your workspace's language settings.

Auto-translation

• Select Manage translations next to supported language

• Choose Auto-translate all > Confirm

Manual translation

• Select Manage translations next to supported language

• Type translation for each value of a slot

• Expand slot value > Provide synonyms of the value in supported language, if applicable

• Click Save

Optional

• Expand slot value > Mark as translated overrides auto-translation

• Expand slot value > Skip translation if you do not want the slot values and synonyms translated or no proper translation exists
